Home Cooked Food
A wide variety is offered by Farleigh's catering manager and his team, who provide balanced, home cooked food with fresh local ingredients.
Breakfast is extremely popular with a choice of either a cooked breakfast or cereals, toast, fruit juice and milk. On Sundays, there is an additional choice of waffles and pancakes.
At lunch, children have the choice of three main courses, one of which is vegetarian, as well as salad. Puddings are seasonal - warm in the winter months and lighter puddings in the summer months. Yogurt and fruit are always available.
Fresh fruit is provided throughout the day in the dining hall with biscuits and cold drinks available at mid-morning and mid-afternoon biscuit breaks. Sandwiches or freshly made cake is provided for boarders at the end of the day.
At supper, boarders have a hot meal with a salad bar. The celebrated Boarders' Dinner Nights, which take place twice a term, give the children the opportunity to dress up for dinner and enjoy a more sophisticated three course meal. Boarders have input to the choice of menu on these special evenings.
