A Piece of Cake

The half-term break got off to a fantastic start with a cake sale organised by Emma Stewart, a member of our girls’ games staff, who is fundraising for her ‘Great Strides 65’ walk in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The Lower Courtyard and Pre-Prep were a throng of buyers, all eager to purchase their share of the hundreds of cakes on offer.

Mrs Stewart, said, “The support and generosity shown by so many of the Farleigh staff, parents and children has been really fantastic and I am enormously grateful to everyone who helped me run such a successful event. We raised a whopping £1,071- incredible! A massive thank you to all our ‘Farleigh Family’ who were involved in the baking and organisation, and of course to everyone who came and bought so much cake!”

Mrs Stewart and seven friends make up team ‘Too Tired to be Inspired’ who will take part in the 'Great Strides 65' event this Saturday, 9th June, walking 65km (40 miles) in the Surrey Hills.
