Continuing the initiative that the school started last year, pupils from Year 5 visited Winton Nursing Home in Nether Wallop, and pupils from Year 7 visited Harrier Grange Care Home in Andover, during their ICT lessons. These visits are an opportunity for the children to meet and talk to the residents, as well as show them the work in their e-Portfolios (online showcases of their activities, achievements and learning). 

Mr Napthine, Head of ICT, who accompanies the pupils with Mrs Everson, said, “The Farleigh children engaged in conversation really well, and showed a caring, mature and understanding attitude. The residents loved talking to them, so much so that neither the residents nor the children wanted to stop chatting when the time was up!”
