Farleigh out in force

Fifteen schools and almost 250 girls descended on Farleigh to take part in the U13A and U13B netball tournaments, in which Farleigh fielded four teams. The standard was high, resulting in an afternoon of competitive matches with some nail-biting final moments.

Two of the semi-finals went to extra time, as did the quarter-final match between Farleigh’s U13B team and the U12As. It was 4-4 at full time and after two minutes of extra time, the U12As emerged victorious (6-4). Farleigh’s U13A and U12A teams were runners up in their tournaments having played some excellent games. In their respective finals, the U13As lost 7-5 to Dumpton and the U12As, 6-4 to Marlston House.

Four U11 teams also had a great afternoon of netball at St Swithun’s with three wins and one narrow defeat - by one goal - in a closely contested match.
