First Holy Communion

After several months of preparation, twenty two of our children made their first Holy Communion, surrounded by family and friends.

Fr Simon asked the children to try a variety of smells, some more pungent than others, telling them that St Paul reminded us that Christians should give off a beautiful fragrance, of love, peace and joy, that will attract others to know Christ. The reception of Holy Communion would enable them to do this, as they were filled with the love and grace of Christ who would accompany them throughout their lives.

The children processed out of the crowded Sports Hall to the Headmaster's Lawn, where they enjoyed some light refreshments and cut their Communion cake, which they enjoyed on the following morning, when they met to reflect on their special day.
