Year 2 perform The Tempest

The Year 2 performances of Shakespeare's The Tempest turned into quite an ambitious project with more lines to learn in what seemed like less time. As always, the children rose to the occasion and produced two splendid performances in front of an appreciative audience of proud parents, grandparents and fellow pupils.

For exceptional line learning, special mention must go to the Angus O'Brien in Cheetahs and Florrie Millar in Leopards who both played the role of Prospero; Sophia Khiara and Percy Weston who played Ariel; and the two Narrators, Lavinia Medcalf and Henry Pannet. There were some fantastic cameo performances from Tommy Goold and Edward Harvey as Caliban and India Davie Thornhill and Harryo Curtis as Alonso.

Well done to everyone who took part - it was a considerable achievement for a group of six and seven year olds.
