Senior School Interview Practice

Preparation for senior school assessment and interviews is a crucial part of the curriculum at Farleigh. We place great importance on the responsibility to equip our pupils with the tools they need to walk into an interview feeling confident, enabling them to project themselves and express what makes them unique.

We have made a number of enhancements to our provision, which includes increased space in the timetable for assessment preparation. We are using excellent schemes such as BOFA (Baines Online Formative Assessment) and Atom Learning, as well as comprehensive interview preparation.

As part of this interview prep, pupils in Years 7 & 8 were given the opportunity to have 1:1 workshops with a specialist mentoring company. These went down very well and the children will be provided with some thorough feedback to help them further refine their technique. The company is returning to Farleigh in a couple of weeks to work with those who have assessments this academic year in a group context, which seems to be becoming an increasingly popular means of assessment at senior schools.

We hope and believe that our pupils will be heading off for their interviews well prepared and ready to show just what great stuff they're made of!
