Under Starter's Orders

There have been two great outings for the athletics team over the past week; the first at Port Regis last Thursday and the second at Yateley Manor on Tuesday.

Mr Ellison, Director of Sport, sums up the meetings: “Brilliant performances both individually and as a team, and fantastic to come away from both events with the trophy! Above all, the camaraderie and incredible support given from all age groups to each other is second to none. In other sports, teams are usually selected by year groups, but with athletics the team is made up of boys and girls from Years 3 to 8 all working together and showing Farleigh at its best. Congratulations to you all.”

Thank you very much to the host schools and all the participating schools for providing great competition: Chafyn Grove, Clayesmore, Dumpton, Forres Sandle Manor, Hazlegrove, Port Regis and  Sherborne Prep last week; and Daneshill, Eagle House, St Neots, The Abbey and Yateley Manor on Tuesday. Next up, our own athletics meeting after half-term when Farleigh hosts Cheam, Port Regis, Stroud, Twyford and Yateley Manor on Friday 7th June.
