Care Home Buddies

In a new initiative, pupils from Years 5 and 6 visited Lion Oak Court and Harrier Grange residential care homes in Andover for the first visits of the e-Portfolio 'buddying' pilot project. The children 'buddied' with a resident and showed them their e-Portfolios (online showcases of their activities, achievements and learning). It is hoped that the visits will benefit both the pupils and the residents, and the photos speak for themselves. One excited resident, aged 91, eagerly took over the iPad at the end of the session to type in his stars and wishes feedback for his buddy. It just shows it is never too late to learn something new.
