On a damp and cold autumn afternoon, the chill in the air was broken by the enthusiastic and patriotic cries of the Years 7 & 8 House football teams as they prepared to face each other.

Five rounds of matches between Buzzards, Eagles, Kestrels and Merlins produced some great moments, superb goals, great saves off the line, and boys literally throwing their bodies in the way to block shots that were goal bound. It was also a reminder that having a 1st team striker on your side doesn't always guarantee an advantage. In fact, the smaller goals used in this internal tournament meant that some of our best footballers missed shots at goal, much to the delight of the opposing team!

The top three Houses at the end were only separated by three points, with Merlins finishing 4th, Kestrels, 3rd, and Eagles, 2nd, making Buzzards the winners. Well done, boys, for making this such an entertaining event, and to the staff and parent supporters.
