Growing Together

Growing Together Week celebrated and enriched the Farleigh community and ethos. The theme last week was, ‘You Matter’; in other words, every individual in our school has a part to play, something to contribute

Many events took place during the week including anti-bullying and teambuilding workshops, mixed form periods where the older pupils spent time with the younger ones painting butterflies and even a whole staff coffee morning which included teaching and non-teaching staff coming together to sample some delicious cakes!

Throughout the week, pupils hand painted rocks in the DT room. These rocks, emblazoned with ‘You Matter’, will shortly be collected by the pupils who decorated them and taken out, beyond the school gates and hidden for others to find. They each carry the following message:

This rock represents the friendship, kindness and mutual respect within our school community which we extend to you.

Please use #farleighrocks to post where you found it and then re-hide for the next person to find.

Over the coming weeks, please follow #farleighrocks on social media to see where our rocks eventually end up!
