Senior Wessex Athletics Championships
Congratulations to our athletes who had a fantastic day at the Senior Wessex Athletics Championships in Bournemouth yesterday. Cheering each other on and genuinely supportive of all their team mates, the Farleigh athletes came away with a superb set of results. Farleigh was placed in every event and ended the day with eight Gold medals, six Silver medals, nine Bronze, three 4th places and seven 5th places.
More details will follow next week about the Farleigh Athletics Meeting, Junior Wessex results, new school records and those who have qualified for the National Championships next month. It was a pity that we had to cut short Farleigh Athletics due to a serious injury to one of the competitors. The boy involved was operated on and is recovering well.
