Year 3 Become Tudors for a Day!
Year 3 had a super day at Ufton Court learning more about the Tudors. Activities included walking around the grounds looking for clues as to the strange goings on (they noticed the ice house, blocked up windows, cracks in the walls etc.); studying artefacts which gave them clues as to who lived in the house; finding secret passageways; and playing Tudor games which were lots of fun! After lunch, they got into their beautiful Tudor costumes and learnt how to do some Tudor dance, which was much harder than it looked!
After lunch they split into two groups and armed themselves – as the household of Lord Perkins and the army, who were to raid the house! All in all, a great day out.
